We were working on a new album earlier this year when after a brief and unexpected illness Nikki tragically passed away. I simply can't put into words what this has meant to me, her friends & family. Some people just shouldn't die and when they do leave a crater/void behind them that can never be filled - Nikki was one of those people, and then some!
The album was originally going to be called "What If? the songs intended to explore that theme, but the end of album cover track was the only vocal that actually got recorded! As a tiny memorial and as the last Feroxide recording ever, here it is.
At Nikki's Wake some good friends offered to help finish the other tracks from the album by supplying their own vocals and lyrics, I didn't think it would happen at the time, and wasn't sure if I even wanted it to, but life goes on, as they say. The results in the end exceeded any expectations I might have had. I also like to think Nikki would have approved, too. You can check them out here: theafter1.bandcamp.com/album/cracks
